Supporting Others

The EB Medical Research Foundation was established in 1991 to fund the Stanford University School of Medicine in their continued research and study of a rare genetic disorder called epidermolysis bullosa (EB).

There are several forms of this inherited blistering skin disease, ranging from mild to the severely disabling and life threatening. It affects all ethnicities-as many as 500,000 people worldwide. Until recently, children born with one of the two lethal forms of the disease had no expectation of a normal life.

The
EB Medical Research Foundation is uniquely run on a volunteer basis; it donates 99% of its contributions directly to this program. In the last few years Stanford's scientists have made great strides with their gene therapy research. And as a result, gene correction for one of the two lethal forms of this disease is now possible.

It is our privilege to donate a portion of the proceeds from Life Lessons for Busy Moms to the
EB Medical Research Foundation for their support of Stanford University School of Medicine as they continue to study and research this tragic disease.
